How Fast ID works
Fast ID gives your address a memorable public name, a simple profile, and verified links to things you control — like your ORCID, GitHub, or website. It's the public face of your address. It doesn't claim to prove who you are in real life — only what you've genuinely connected.
Getting started
Four steps to your Fast ID

Connect your wallet
Choose Fast App or Fast Wallet Extension and pick the address this Fast ID is for.

Claim your name
Pick an available given.family name and confirm it. That name now points to your address.

Add what you control
Add your ORCID, GitHub, or website so they show as verified, and list any published work. Add as much or as little as you like.

Share your page
Your public page shows your name, profile, and everything you've proven. Share the link anywhere.

What you can do today
Add your GitHub
Sign in with GitHub once and it appears on your profile as a verified link — no file, no waiting. It shows as proven from the moment you add it.
Add your website
Claim your site, then publish a small file Fast ID gives you. Fast ID checks it for you and marks the site verified — usually within a minute.
Add published work
Attach a paper or dataset by its DOI. It appears under your works with the title filled in for you. These are things you list, not things Fast ID checks.
Build a simple profile
Add a display name, a short bio, and a photo. Only the wallet that owns the address can change it.
Share it — and remove anything
Share your public link, or copy ready-made snippets for social and email. You can revoke anything you added, any time.

What a Fast ID is
- Is it an account?
- No. Your address is the account. Fast ID is the public name, profile, and verified links attached to it.
- Can one address have several Fast IDs?
- One address holds one name at a time, and one name is held by one address at a time.
- What if I have several addresses?
- Fast ID keeps them separate — it doesn't assume different addresses are the same person until there's a clear way to link them.
- Can I change or hand off my name?
- You release it and can reclaim it later; the old record stays, so history is never rewritten. There's no direct transfer today.
